Privacy Policy
Basketful
Last updated: 1 October 2026
In short: Basketful doesn’t collect any of your data. There are no accounts, adverts, analytics or tracking. Your list is stored on your devices and in your own private iCloud, which only you can access.
Who We Are
Basketful is made by SGWNI (“we”, “us”). If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at hello@veglog.app.
Information We Collect
None. We don’t operate any servers that receive information from the app, and we can’t see your shopping list, favourites, prices or stores.
Your List and iCloud
Your items, favourites, quantities, notes, prices and store names are saved on your device. If you’re signed in to iCloud, they’re also synced between your devices using Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) in your private database. That data belongs to your Apple Account and is protected by Apple; we have no access to it. A few preferences, such as your aisle order and stores, are synced the same way.
Favourites you haven’t bought for 13 months are deleted automatically. You can delete everything else at any time by deleting the app, and remove the iCloud copy in the Settings app under your name › iCloud › Manage Storage.
Location
Location is only used if you tap Find Stores Near Me. Your location is used once, on your device, to ask Apple Maps for nearby supermarkets. It isn’t stored and isn’t sent to us. Typed store searches also go to Apple Maps. Apple’s handling of these requests is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy. You can turn location access off at any time in the Settings app.
Apple Intelligence, Siri and the Lock Screen
On supported devices, the app can use Apple Intelligence to sort unfamiliar items into departments. This happens entirely on your device. If you use Siri or Shortcuts to add items, Apple processes your request. Lock Screen progress (Live Activities) is shown on your device only.
Subscriptions and Payments
Subscriptions are sold and managed by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple Account or payment details. The app checks with the App Store, on your device, whether you have an active subscription so it can unlock shopping features. Apple’s handling of purchases is covered by Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Your Rights
Because we don’t collect or hold any personal information about you, there’s nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete on our side. Everything is on your devices and in your own iCloud, where you stay in control of it. If you have a question about your privacy, email us and we’ll help.
Children
The app is suitable for all ages and doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update this page and the date above. If the app ever starts collecting data, we’ll say so here and in the App Store before that happens.
